Acne is a condition caused by skin cells that do not shed properly and plug pores, causing oil and bacteria to be trapped inside. As the oil and bacteria accumulates, the skin becomes inflamed and swells outwards forming the familiar whiteheads, blackheads and pimples. The most common type of acne shows up on the face, neck, shoulders, back, and chest.

Mild to moderate redness and swelling that will fade in as little as a couple hours to as much as a few days.

| Descriptions: | With this process solar lentigines and facial telangiectasia are treated individually with the Aura-i ™ /Gemini laser. The entire face is “painted” with the Aura-i ™ /Gemini. This is followed by a second pass with the Lyra-i/Gemini laser, for facial toning and the treatment of fine wrinkles. |

Solar lentigines may darken following treatment. After painting technique a slight erythema might be present. |

With this procedure patients will typically benefit from 3-8 treatments. Clearing of sun damage such as lentigines will be evident after the first few treatments. Wrinkle improvement will be gradual over the first three months of treatment as new collagen forms, creating a smoother, younger looking skin. |

| Description: | Flat brown spot that appears because of the accumulation of lipofuscin (naturally occurring dark brown pigment soluble in fat) in the tissue unrelated to sun exposure, often malignant (cancerous). |

Full vaporization with light graying of tissue at treatment time. The area turns darker within a few hours and flakes off in about one week. If the pigment is diffuse or light brown, the end point is not as obvious, however, the lesion should turn darker and flake off as normal. |
