You see them on TV, in the movies and magazines, and now at your local pharmacy or cosmetic store? There seems to be an increasing trend of celebrities delving into the realm of skin care.
We’ve compiled a short list of celebrities who have skin care lines already on the market, and one who is brand new to the scene.
Ryan Seacrest– The “skin care newbie”, has a line coming out in 2016. He has partnered with his long-time dermatologist Dr. Harold Lancer to create this men’s skin care line. The Beverly Hills dermatologist and author is well-known on the celebrity scene, some of his star patients include: Kim Kardashian, Victoria Beckham and Beyoncé…just to name a few. Be on the lookout for this line late next year.
Josie Maran– Any avid Sephora shopper has probably, if not purchased then received a sample of the Josie Maran products. The former Victoria’s Secret model traded in the lingerie for skin care in 2007. You can expect to get infused organic skin care when purchasing her products. The most popular one is the 100% Pure Argan Oil.
Rob Lowe– Lowe is a bit of a veteran to the men’s skin care industry, in comparison to Seacrest, of course. He worked for six years to perfect Profile, the line released this past spring. His skin care line, only available at Nordstrom retail stores, includes: moisturizers, serums, and a shave gel. His goal was to create something simple that actually provided results.
Salma Hayek– This movie bombshell took a different path when she released her cost effective skin care and beauty line Nuance. Hayek says the line is inspired by beauty and skin care tips passed down by her grandmother, and from traveling. The CVS pharmacy exclusive line features everything from skin, hair, and nail care.
Cindy Crawford – Meaningful Beauty, is the skin care line created by Cindy Crawford, and is also what she attributes her flawless ageless skin to. Crawford teamed up with cosmetic doctor Jean-Louis Sebagh, to create this anti-aging collection. Using an exclusive ingredient (a rare orchid from France) the collection is very unique in nature. The products included: cleanser, serum, day crème with SPF, lifting eye crème, and an ultra-lifting and filling treatment. Available only online.
Christie Brinkley– Another former supermodel aptly named her line Christie Brinkley Authentic Skin Care. Like her former super model colleague Cindy Crawford, anti-aging is the aim. Her website states: “Christie’s ultimate goal was to create the most incredible skincare products, so all women can recapture their youthful appearance while revitalizing and reversing signs of aging.” Unfortunately unlike Nuance or Josie Maran, it is not available at retail stores – just on her website.
Of course only you can know what works for your skin the best, so read reviews and test the products out first before rolling out the red carpet!
