Our lifestyle can be the cause of dark circles under the eyes. Dark circles happen when you’re lacking sleep, suffering from allergies or stress, genetics, or even aging. Some of these reasons can be controlled while others cannot be controlled. The best way to prevent dark circles is to have a balanced diet with fruits, yogurt, vegetables, and beans. Here are a few tips on how to get rid of dark circles.
Cucumber
Cucumber juice has skin tightening properties and can work miracles. It should be applied daily around the eyes for fifteen minutes and then washed off with warm water. It will have a refreshing and soothing effect on your skin.
Green Tea Bags
Tea bags that contain caffeine will reduce puffiness by shrinking the blood vessels. To start, brew two tea bags and then let them cool in the fridge for thirty minutes. Place the tea bags on the eyes and relax for thirty minutes. The tea bags will rejuvenate while tightening the skin.
Almond Oil
Almond oil softens, soothes, and moisturizes the skin. Almond is a good source of vitamin E and K. These vitamins are very effective in reducing puffiness and dark circles under the eyes. Apply the oil around the eyes daily before going to bed. After applying, gently massage the skin under the eyes. Do not wash off the almond oil until the next morning.
Mint Leaves
Mint leaves are very useful in removing dark circles and reducing wrinkles. They contain an astringent that can effectively shrink blood vessels. Crush five to six leaves then apply it as a paste under the eyes for fifteen to thirty minutes.
