Shira Ehrlich, MPAS, RPA-C is an award-winning, board-certified physician assistant with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the New York Institute of Technology. As a valued member of the Advanced Dermatology team, Ms. Ehrlich has experience in all areas of dermatological care, including the diagnosis and treatment of lesions and skin conditions. She also specializes in cosmetic procedures, such as injectable treatments and skin rejuvenation. She’s certified as a physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and has been a part of the American Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the New York State Society of Physician Assistants since 2014.
Besides mastering dermatological-related tasks like skin biopsies, injections, and wound cultures, PA Ehrlich also has certifications in infection control, laser treatments, and advanced cardiac life support. She can help diagnose and treat a series of skin conditions including actinic keratoses, skin cancers, psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, infections, fixed drug reactions, and many more. Furthermore, she has experience conducting intralesional injections, acne surgery, laser treatments, cryotherapy, and biopsies of malignant lesions. In 2017, Ms. Ehrlich won the New York State Society of Physician Assistants poster session first place award for her original research titled Why are Patients with Chronic Disease Nonadherent with their Prescribed Medications?
